About Me

Breathe in the crisp air, listen to the crackling ice, and watch as penguins waddle across the snow. As you contemplate the towering glaciers and deep blue waters that surround you, time seems to stand still. Here you are amongst an icy, remote wilderness where nature dominates and Mother Earth rules. Welcome to Antarctica, the last great frontier on Earth.

Antarctica is home to the world’s most breathtaking landscapes and unique wildlife. It’s no wonder adventure-seekers are increasingly attracted to exploring the depths of this undiscovered continent. What can you expect on a trip to the South Pole? Let’s dig into everything you need to know about travel in Antarctica!

Travel in Antarctica: The ultimate adventure

What do you think of when you picture yourself traveling in Antarctica? Pristine, wintry, landscapes? Penguins and whales? Untamed wilderness? While that’s a big part of it,there’s more to travel in Antarctica than the visuals. Immersing yourself in a world that feels entirely different from your own can be a life-changing experience.

With an expedition cruise as your base, travel through choppy channels and expansive bays to your next exciting excursion. With expert guides you’ll hike, kayak, and gain insight into a place most only dream of visiting – the Earth’s seventh continent, all but untouched.

How to get to Antarctica: Sailing from Argentina

While there are planes that can take you to Antarctica, the most common form of travel is by ship. Starting in Ushuaia, you’ll sail through the famous Drake Passage, arriving 48hours later to the Antarctic Peninsula.

There are a few styles of cruise to choose from, including:

Luxury cruises: These ships offer high-end accommodations and gourmet dining,top-notch amenities, and personalized service.

Expedition cruises: With a focus on adventure and exploration, these ships include activities such as kayaking, snowshoeing, and camping on the ice.

Comfortable adventure cruises: Balance between comfort and adventure with ships that feature modern amenities and offer a variety of activities like hiking and zodiac excursions.

Science cruises: Participate in real scientific research projects while cruising. On these adventures, travelers can engage in data collection or contribute to studies on climate change for an educational and impactful trip.

Budget cruises: Looking for a more affordable option? Budget cruises provide basic amenities and typically focus on essential experiences without the frills of luxury or comfort-focused vessels.

Antarctica travel package: How to choose the right one for your travel needs Choosing an Antarctica travel package may feel overwhelming due to the variety of options available. Most packages typically range from 6 to 12 days and include meals, accommodations, and guided excursions.

A standard Antarctica travel package costs anywhere from $8,000 per person for a budget experience to $25,000 per person for a luxury one, with some customized options exceeding $50,000.

How do you select the right package?

I like to ask my clients questions like:

  • What do you want to spend on this once-in-a-lifetime trip?
  • What’s your focus – wildlife viewing, adventure activities, or photography?
  • Would you like to attend educational lectures led by scientists and naturalists who specialize in Antarctic research?

This way, I know what experiences are most important to you, and how to tailor a South Pole tour to your travel palate. Together, we can choose the right Antarctica travel package for you. If you are ready for an adventure of a lifetime reach out today so we can start planning your Antarctic Expedition.

Matt planned our 10 day trip to Ireland including personal drivers each day. Ou daily activities started at 9am each day. We saw and experienced everything there was to do each day. Matt provided tour guides for the 2 of us. At ages 80 and 82 it was a dream trip for us. Matt made airline changes for us so we could visit friends in Switzerland before returning home to Whidbey Island WA. Matt is so easy to work with and accommodating. 5*

Best Company Trip I’ve Ever Been On
Reviewed By Ana C - Reno, NV | Traveled to Las Vegas | Nevada | USA
From the moment we landed in Vegas, everything felt effortless. Flights, transfers, and hotel check-in were smooth, and it was clear this trip was extremely well planned. The private dinner at Bourbon Steak was next-level — incredible food, amazing service, and such a special atmosphere for our team. Renting out Swingers Mini Golf for the after-party was such a fun and unexpected touch. Huge credit to Matt for creating an experience that felt both luxurious and genuinely fun. He gave plenty of communication about which flight I was placed on along with a detailed itinerary.
I would recommend this agent to my family and friends.
