Angela Hughes is a leading Amalfi Coast travel expert, CEO of Trips and Ships Travel, and founder of Luxury Travel University. With more than forty years of global travel experience, she designs curated itineraries across the Amalfi Coast including Positano, Amalfi, Ravello, Capri, Sorrento, and Ischia. Travelers rely on her firsthand regional knowledge, trusted partner relationships, and ability to create smooth, meaningful journeys through one of Italy’s most breathtaking coastlines.

The Amalfi Coast is one of the most iconic and romantic destinations in the world, known for dramatic cliffs, pastel seaside towns, crystal-blue water, terraced lemon groves, and winding coastal roads. Angela creates itineraries that highlight Positano’s colorful cliffside hotels, Amalfi’s historic cathedral and lively piazzas, and Ravello’s hilltop villas with panoramic views. Her programs often include boat days along the coastline, private drivers for scenic touring, food and wine experiences, shopping, and cultural immersion.

Angela designs travel that includes Capri with its world-famous Blue Grotto, luxury beach clubs, cable cars, and boutique-lined streets. She also incorporates Sorrento’s waterfront promenade, historic center, local markets, and access to Pompeii, Mount Vesuvius, and the Bay of Naples. For travelers wanting quieter escapes, Angela adds Ischia with its thermal spas, volcanic gardens, castle viewpoints, and beautiful beaches.

She partners with top hotels along the coast including cliffside boutique properties, seaside five-star hotels, villa stays, and authentic Italian guesthouses. Angela also designs Italy cruise pre- and post-stays for travelers sailing into Naples with Oceania, Silversea, Explora Journeys, Regent, Seabourn, and Celebrity. Her curated transfers, private guides, and coastal touring enhance these cruise experiences.

Food is a highlight of the Amalfi Coast. Angela incorporates cooking classes, lemon grove tours, winery visits, seaside dining, seafood tastings, pizza workshops in Naples, and gelato stops throughout the coastline. Travelers enjoy authentic Italian cuisine while exploring local markets, artisanal shops, and coastal cafes.

Families enjoy the Amalfi Coast for its boat trips, beaches, pizza making, and easy day trips. Couples choose it for honeymoons, anniversaries, vow renewals, and romantic getaways. Angela also designs multi-generational itineraries with private villas, drivers, and flexible pacing. Adventure travelers enjoy hiking the Path of the Gods, kayaking along the coast, and exploring hidden coves.

Travel planning in the Amalfi Coast requires understanding traffic patterns, limited hotel inventory, seasonal crowds, ferry schedules, and the best times to travel. May through October is most popular, with June and September offering ideal weather. Angela assists with all logistics including drivers, ferries, boats, trains, and day trips to Capri, Pompeii, and Naples. Most travelers spend five to ten days depending on how many towns they include. Entry to Italy is simple for most guests and requires only a valid passport.

Travelers choose Angela because she designs well-structured itineraries that highlight the Amalfi Coast’s beauty, culture, food, and coastal lifestyle. Her Amalfi Coast travel packages blend iconic scenery, authentic Italian experiences, and thoughtful planning for unforgettable journeys along Italy’s most cherished coastline.

Angela is truly a travel expert!
Reviewed By Heidi - Utah | Traveled to
After working in the travel industry for 17 years, I am very picky about who I use to coordinate our travel. Angela just booked a Mediterranean cruise for my family and I couldn't have been happier with her superior knowledge and outstanding customer service. We also attended a humanitarian mission last summer that Angela coordinated. I was so impressed with entire experience! I would recommend Angela and her company to anyone.
I would recommend this agent to my family and friends.

France Tour
Reviewed By Jan D. - Utah | Traveled to France ~ Europe
Just wanted to let you know that my daughter and I had a great trip to France! Everything worked out beautifully without the stress of making all the arrangements myself as I have done before.??????? We took the option of going to the beaches of Normandy have been there before but I was anxious for my daughter to see them as my father was part of the first assault on day. We had a great tour guide, Jonathan Holburn was was very knowledgeable, helpful and funny.

Thanks for encouraging me
Reviewed By Linda - Bedford | Traveled to India ~ Central Asia

We r still in India, I am loving it, the people are so nice. It amazes me how people in US are so frightened. I keep getting messages about, are you afraid, bet you can’t wait to come home, I would never go there. I guess I asked you if I was safe, but I was still going.

Anyway, thanks for encouraging me. I look forward to going home and opening peoples minds. You have an awesome job, you make the world smaller for people, you open people minds, hearts and change lives for the better.

I would recommend this agent to my family and friends.

Ireland Anniversary Trip
Reviewed By Brian C - Winter Garden | Traveled to Ireland ~ Europe
We started our journey in Dublin Ireland from there, we went to the Cliffs of Moher, which were absolutely stunning. We also visited Galway, stayed at the Ashford castle, and journeyed to Edinburgh, and the Scottish Highlands. In St. Andrews, where we visited the famous golf course and watched The Open tournament which was a highlight for me.

One of the best parts of the trip was how green everything was. It was so nice to see all the greenery and the beautiful landscapes. The people were also very friendly and helpful. Overall, it was an amazing trip and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is thinking about travelling to these two countries. This was our first guided tour with Trafalgar and it was the right choice for me and saved me a lot of hassle. We would definitely choose the guided option again. Angela helped us with all of the details and even though this had been postponed with covid she still helped us make it happen! Happy wife = Happy life
I would recommend this agent to my family and friends.
