Eight years ago, my husband and I decided to celebrate our 25th anniversary with our very first cruise. I was excited, but I also remember being completely overwhelmed by how many choices there were. I didn’t even know how to choose a cruise line, let alone a ship, cabin, itinerary, or all the other things that came after that.

Thankfully, we worked with a travel agent who made it easy. We had someone who knew the questions to ask, helped us sort through the choices, and took away so much of the uncertainty. Then we stepped onboard, and I fell in love with cruising.

I loved waking up somewhere new, having so much to experience both onboard and ashore, and being able to see the world while only unpacking once. That anniversary cruise was supposed to be one special vacation. Instead, it completely changed the way I wanted to travel.

Eventually, it changed what I wanted to do, too.

I became a travel agent because I wanted other people to have what we had: someone who could take something that initially felt overwhelming and make it exciting instead. And because cruising was what I truly loved and wanted to know inside and out, I chose to focus my business exclusively on cruises.

Today, more than 25 cruises later, my husband and I still cruise several times a year. I’ve experienced different cruise lines, ships, cabin types, destinations, and styles of cruising, and I’ve learned that the cruise that looks perfect on paper isn’t necessarily the right cruise for everyone.

That’s where getting to know you matters.

I want to know what you enjoy, how you like to spend your time, what makes a vacation feel special to you, and even the things you’d rather avoid. Maybe you love incredible food and beautiful accommodations. Maybe you want attentive service and fewer crowds. Maybe you’ve been dreaming about Alaska for years, want to explore Europe by river, or are ready to experience one of the world’s luxury cruise lines. Or maybe you simply know you want a really wonderful cruise and have no idea where to start.

You don’t need to come to me knowing which cruise line, ship, or itinerary you want. We’ll figure that out together.

And once we do, I don’t disappear after the booking is made. I’m there throughout the planning, helping you prepare, answering the questions that come up, sharing the things that are actually helpful to know, and taking care of the details along the way. My goal is for you to feel informed and excited about your cruise without feeling like planning it has become a second job.

Eight years later, I still remember what it felt like to plan that first cruise and how much easier our travel agent made it for us.
