I am Chericka Johnson, co-founder and travel advisor at Love + Leisure Travel. Based in Seattle, I specialize in destination weddings, milestone celebrations, romantic escapes, and luxury group travel throughout Mexico, the Caribbean, Europe, and select destinations across Africa.

Having traveled to more than 30 countries across five continents, I bring firsthand destination knowledge and a clear understanding of what can make a travel experience feel truly special. I have explored everything from luxury resorts in Mexico and the Caribbean to the vineyards of South Africa, the historic streets of Cartagena, and the wildlife-rich waterways of Southern Africa.

My own wedding at Villa Antonia in Austin’s Hill Country also gave me firsthand experience managing the many details involved in creating a celebration away from home. I understand that the guest experience begins long before arrival and that thoughtful planning, clear communication, and trusted support can make all the difference.

Before entering the travel industry, I spent more than 15 years in sales, negotiation, leadership, and client experience. That background shapes how I serve my clients today. I ask thoughtful questions, anticipate challenges, carefully evaluate the options, and help travelers make confident decisions without becoming overwhelmed by endless online research.

For destination weddings and group trips, I help manage the experience for both the host and their guests. Depending on the trip, this may include destination and resort selection, group accommodations, guest reservations, secure payment options, transfers, travel protection, excursions, and ongoing communication throughout the planning process.
