River cruises are a wonderful way to see several countries while only unpacking once. I love river cruising! I have been on two cruises on the Rhine River and am looking forward to cruising the Seine River next April. River cruises are amazing!

You are on a small ship, with only about 150 passengers, and you cruise through each of the countries rather than just visiting a port or two. The ships dock in or very close to the center of the cities you visit and you can just walk off of the ship and start exploring!

In addition, the ships are beautiful, the water is smooth (so no motion sickness), and the food on board is included and delicious. Finally, on certain river cruise lines, even your drinks and a variety of excursions in each port are included.
