Hi, I’m Marisa, lifetime traveler and planning guru. I was fortunate my parents shared their wanderlust with me starting when I was two months old! The many trips and places we went instilled in me a strong appreciation for all the different kinds of people, cultures, & ways there are to live in the world. I have traveled to 30 countries and 36 U.S. states with more being added all time!
Since my children were only a few months old, we have been taking them along with us to destinations throughout North America, The Caribbean, and Europe. If you're looking for a unique vacation that both parents, children, and even grandparents will enjoy I can help. I have experience planning both small group, and multi-generational family travel.
After years of helping people plan trips as a hobby I decided to become a travel agent after encouragement from friends and family that I should start a travel business. I want to help people, especially families, enjoy fabulous adventures without breaking the bank.
I want to reassure families their children will love seeing new people and places while having new experiences. My family enjoys theme parks, but children love seeing the real world just as much if you give them the chance. While I can’t promise a trip will always be easy, I firmly believe exposing children to situations that require flexibility, adaptability, empathy, and understanding of the world’s great diversity leads to better people.
Our traveling companions often joke that I start planning my next adventure before I even get home from the current one. That’s me in a nutshell.
Customer Testimonials
You won’t meet someone more invested in your experience. She wants you to see the world. She wants you to make priceless memories with your loved ones, and she can help you do it because it’s her super power. by Jenn S
As children my husband and I never had the opportunity to travel much & really wanted to change that for our kids. “Travel by Marisa” has made showing our kids the world accessible, helps us spend our money on experiences & memories to last a lifetime. Can’t wait for the next trip! by Yvonne S
I am generally a DIY travel planner but when I ran out of ideas for my next family vacation, I got in touch with Marisa. I knew she loved traveling herself, but I did not know how knowledgeable and resourceful she could be! by Melany S

Hotel Merkur was perfect! Great room, great location, wonderful staff, breakfast included was a great perk. In Amsterdam, the hotel location was perfect and our room had a beautiful canal view.
Excursion recommendations were spot on. Our Zaanse tour guide was personable & knowledgeable. We really enjoyed our Dutch home dining experience. I would encourage everyone to book this.
All of our transportation info was documented perfectly from times, locations, and confirmation numbers. Marisa even checked in with us to confirm we were good to go.
Normally we would not combine Germany and Amsterdam, but with the heat, Olympics and Taylor Swift in Europe we were limited on locations. I'm very glad Marisa suggested these destinations. The options she provided for us to explore were perfect and what we were looking for. My husband was able to drive on the Autobahn and experience the train which he loves t
The Porto boutique hotel was nice and had an excellent breakfast. The Atlis Grand in Lisbon was fantastic.
Most of the excursions were excellent except for Fado. The restaurant was small and uncomfortable. Seeing both Palaces at Sintra in one day is not practical. The crowds make it very difficult causing long wait times.
Our private transportation was excellent.
Our favorite part of the trip was walking the hilly streets and seeing the locals.
This is my second booking with Marisa. Last year my family and I had an amazing time in Iceland. I have already reached out to start exploring our trip options for next year.
We loved all 3 hotels, our Santorini hotel was very romantic. Excursions were amazing. Definitely do the catamaran in Santorini you won’t regret it!!!
Transfers were great !! All on time
Our favorite part of your trip was Santorini and the beaches! The food! Everything! Definitely the catamaran. The least favorite part of your trip was when the sunset cruise left early without us in Mykonos. They never contacted us they had the wrong list of people. Thankfully the refunded us within a few days.
This was my first time working with a travel advisor, and I would definitely consider using one in the future.
The accommodations at the Jurys Inn were great. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly. The breakfast buffet is worth the price. The bar/restaurant on site was a good option after a long day of sightseeing.
All the excursions were excellent. The Book of Kells tour at Trinity College is a perfect way to begin a trip to Dublin and Ireland if it's your first visit. The Cliffs of Moher and Galway are a must-see and we loved the hike and tour we did at Howth, a beautiful seaside town just North and East of Dublin.
Transportation was perfect. No delays or hiccups.
Our favorite part of the trip was The town of Howth and just being in Dublin. Dublin is a very manageable and walkable city. The people are friendly. The pubs and restaurants are great.
Hotels were adequate. I liked having breakfast included. Loved the cooking class, it was one of our favorite experiences. More clear direction on how to get to cooking class from Minori would've been nice.
Herculaneum we could've passed on. Would have liked a day tour of Naples. Our tour guide for Pompeii was the best ever.
Our least favorite part of the trip was not being able to drive. But the roads are horrible, so ferries were necessary. Other than that, drivers were great.
I would consider using an advisor in the future only for complicated itineraries or unfamiliar destinations.
