Hawaii is not one destination — it is many. Each island carries its own spirit, its own landscape, and its own story, and I believe the best Hawaii vacations are the ones that go beyond the beach and into the heart of what makes these islands so extraordinary. As a certified Hawaii Destination Expert who has explored Oahu, Kauai, and the Big Island firsthand, I plan Hawaii vacations for families and adventurers who want to come home with more than a tan — they want to come home changed.

I want to tell you something about Oahu — because everyone told me it wasn't the "real" Hawaii.

After five and a half hours over open ocean, I looked out the window and saw Diamond Head rising from the water below. I had only ever seen it in photographs and somehow, seeing it appear after all that blue felt like I was an explorer sighting land for the very first time. I was completely captivated before the wheels even touched the ground. The next morning we hiked Diamond Head at sunrise. Along the trail I discovered the old military pillboxes — remnants of a Hawaii that had lived through something unimaginable — and my history-loving heart was already fully engaged. Later that day we went to Pearl Harbor.

I have stood in the American Cemetery in Normandy. I have walked the ancient streets of Pompeii. And standing on the USS Arizona Memorial, looking down into the water above a ship that became the final resting place for so many young men, I felt that same reverent stillness. Everyone around me was hushed, moving slowly, taking their time. The names on the wall were someone's son, someone's husband, someone's father — gone too soon. Though it all happened so long ago, we all felt connected in a way that is difficult to put into words.

That is Oahu. And that is why I will never let a client dismiss it.

The Many Faces of Hawaii Later that same week we drove to the North Shore and it felt like an entirely different island. Lush mountains, vibrant shores, and a pace of life that gently insists you slow down and do things the Hawaiian way. The Polynesian Cultural Center became one of my favorite experiences anywhere — watching the people of Samoa, Fiji, Tonga, Maori, and other island cultures sing, dance, and talk story in their own way pulled me back to a simpler time when the important things stood out clearly. I wanted to take a piece of that feeling home with me.

We ate our way through the island too — shave ice and plate lunches and chocolate haupia pie and sipping an 'Otai, a traditional Polynesian fruit drink made from blended fruit, coconut milk, and coconut water. Food in Hawaii is its own adventure and I will always make sure my clients know where to find it.

The Islands I Know As a certified Hawaii Destination Expert I have explored Oahu, Kauai, and the Big Island firsthand — each one completely different from the last. Kauai's lush rainforests and dramatic Na Pali coastline, the volcanic majesty and stargazing on the Big Island, and the layered history and vibrant culture of Oahu. Maui remains on my personal list — and I love planning it for clients who already count it as their favorite.

Who I Love Planning Hawaii For My favorite Hawaii clients are active families who want to fully experience the spirit of Aloha — eat the food, meet the people, explore the island, and take a piece of it home in their hearts. I also love planning Aulani resort experiences for families who want a more resort-focused stay, and multi-island itineraries for travelers who want to feel the difference between each island for themselves.

What I Can Plan for You

  • Oahu — history, culture, North Shore, and Pearl Harbor experiences
  • Kauai — hiking, waterfalls, and the Na Pali Coast
  • Big Island — volcanoes, stargazing, and black sand beaches
  • Maui — beaches, Road to Hana, and whale watching
  • Multi-island Hawaii itineraries
  • Aulani Disney Resort family vacations
  • Active family adventures and cultural immersion experiences

Q: Is Oahu worth visiting or should we go straight to Maui or Kauai? A: I will tell you what I tell every client who asks me this — Oahu was my first Hawaiian island and I fell completely in love. The history, the culture, the food, the North Shore, Pearl Harbor — Oahu has a depth that surprises almost everyone who gives it a real chance. Don't let anyone tell you it isn't the real Hawaii. It absolutely is.

Q: How many islands should we try to see in one trip? A: It depends on how long you have and what kind of traveler you are. Two islands is a sweet spot for most families — enough variety to feel the difference without spending your vacation packing and unpacking. I'll help you choose the right combination based on what matters most to you and build an itinerary that makes every day count.

Ready to experience the spirit of Aloha for yourself? Let's plan a Hawaii vacation that brings you home with more than memories — it will bring you home changed. ??

BEST 50th Wedding Celebration!!!
Reviewed By Mama of the multitude - Central Point, OR | Traveled to Caribbean
We wanted a destination vacation celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary with our children and their spouses. Jacquelin presented us with many options, giving the pros and cons. In the planning she was especially helpful, giving us updates every few days of items we needed to decide upon. She helped each of us (19!) complete requirements for our medallions and we had them in our possession before boarding. It made the complexities of going on a cruise so much easier!
We went on an Eastern Caribbean cruise with a preliminary day at Disney World before the cruise. It was the perfect vacation. We enjoyed the companionship of our children each evening at dinner, hearing their adventures of the day. Everyone was free to choose the activities that interested them most. A memory of a lifetime!
I would recommend this agent to my family and friends.
