About Me

Passionate about travel - LGBTQ specialist

With a passion for exploration and a passport stamped in over 50 countries, I bring both experience and enthusiasm to every trip I design. Travel isn’t just something I love—it’s something I truly understand. I rely heavily on my own firsthand experiences, giving my clients insider insight that you simply can’t get from a brochure or website.

Some of my favorite destinations include Paris, Bangkok, Bali, and Istanbul—but if I had to choose, nothing compares to a Mediterranean cruise. Having sailed with numerous cruise lines, I know how to match each client with the perfect ship, itinerary, and experience.I also return regularly to favorite spots like Puerto Vallarta, Fort Lauderdale, and Provincetown, which keeps my recommendations fresh and up-to-date.

I’m especially passionate about LGBTQ+ travel and take pride in creating welcoming, thoughtful, and seamless experiences for every client. Whether it’s a relaxing getaway, a celebratory trip, or a once-in-a-lifetime journey, I understand the details that matter.

And for those who love to travel smart, you’re in good hands—I’m a frequent flyer enthusiast and maintain Diamond Medallion status with Delta Air Lines, which means I know how to maximize comfort, value, and perks every step of the way.

Belgium & Holland River Cruising - So beautiful!

A River Cruise That Actually Feels Like Europe! Sailing behind those quiet riverbanks and discovering small Dutch and Belgian villages is a wonderful experience! European charm isn’t just in the big cities, it’s in the tucked-away places that feel untouched by time.

Tulip Season (March-May) is stunning! Mid-March to mid-May is when the tulips (and so many other gorgeous flowers) bloom. It’s a very short and special window.  The tulips are a special seasonal excursion, and it adds a different energy in the Netherlands.

And there are several outstanding River Boats this time of year; small (150-190 passengers), with fantastic cuisine, and Chef's menus that change daily. Almost every AM begins with a Tour of these historic Towns and Villages.

Great Planning and Attention to Detail
Reviewed By Argonaut - Provincetown, MA | Traveled to Cuzco | Peru | South America
Working with Jim Anastos was one of those rare travel experiences where everything just… clicked. From the start, Jim listened carefully and actually heard what we wanted—not just dates and destinations, but the feel of the trip. The land tour in the Andes was excellent and the cruise he booked for us was spot-on: beautiful ship, great itinerary, and all the little touches that turn a good vacation into a memorable one. What really stood out was his attention to detail. Every element was handled seamlessly. It’s clear he takes pride in getting things right the first time. Just as important, Jim was responsive, thoughtful, and easy to work with throughout. If you’re looking for a travel advisor who delivers a polished, stress-free experience and genuinely elevates your trip, Jim is an excellent choice. We wouldn’t hesitate to work with him again.

Jim of course knows all the normal travel stuff but he personally has travelled so much that he can usually describe any airport or venue! He has arranged some great excursions on several cruises I have been on. I never worry about the details because I know Jim has us covered! This review only lets me choose 1 destination, but he has planned things for me all over the world. Highly recommend!
I would recommend this agent to my family and friends.
