Recently, I had the privilege of attending the River Cruise Expo in Budapest, Hungary, where leading river cruise lines such as AmaWaterways, Avalon Waterways, Scenic River Cruises, Riverside, Amadeus, and Viking River Cruises were present. I took the opportunity to personally inspect all the ships and savor meals onboard. During the event, I stayed aboard the splendid Avalon Envision, where the service surpassed expectations, and the staterooms, with beds facing balconies, provided spectacular views.

Following the conference, I embarked on AmaWaterways' AmaVerde for the Gems of the Southeast itinerary. The AmaWaterways staff's attentiveness and warmth, coupled with delightful balconied staterooms and immersive onboard entertainment, made for an unforgettable experience.

Additionally, I had the pleasure of cruising along the Dutch Waterways with Tauck, an experience etched in my memory forever. I'm already planning to sail with Tauck again and embark on at least one of their land tours in the coming year.

This year, I embarked on a voyage with AmaWaterways from Basel, Switzerland, to Amsterdam on the Rhine River. Next year it's Christmas Markets on the Danube with AmaMagna.

Part of this has to do with the inclusions provided in a river cruise and the limited number of people who are sailing. The value of a river cruise is what needs to be taken into account.
