When most people think of visiting Indonesia, the first thing that comes to mind is Bali.  I can't blame them.  It has become an iconic symbol of the culture, art, and spiritualism of the Far East.  And if you are making a journey to this part of the world, then you should certainly spend time here.  And if you can, spend a week exploring the island.

However, you should know that if you only visit Bali, then you are missing out on some of the most amazing locations on the planet.  From the breathtaking vistas of the Komodo Islands, to the scuba diving paradise of Raja Ampat to the UNESCO World Heritage sites at Yogyakarta on Java, Indonesia is a treasure trove of locations and experiences.  The archipelago is longer than the continental United States and is made up of over 17,000 islands.
