I have extensive planning and travelling experience with multi-generational trips and special needs individuals. As an individual with mobility issues and two children (one hard of hearing and one with Autism) we have travelled extensively from the time they were babies. I have always been sensitive to what they and others need to fully enjoy their vacations.
My favorite places to book are Walt Disney World and Universal Studios, Florida. I have over 30 trips to both parks and have stayed at all levels of hotels with babies, toddlers, school age children, teens, and adults. There is always something hew to experience no matter how many times you visit!
My favorite trip to Walt Disney World was when my son was 4 years-old. We had just been given his Autism diagnosis a week before our vacation and life seemed like it was in a whirl. At the time my son was in his Peter Pan perseverative phase and we bought him a Peter Pan outfit to wear in the parks. We were watching the afternoon parade when the Peter Pan float came by. My son was jumping up and down yelling to Peter Pan, "Peter, Peter...." Peter Pan saw him and waved to him and then grabbed his shirt and pointed to my son's shirt and gave him a thumbs up. My son was so excited, "He knows it is me! He knows it is me!" In that moment we cried but we were relieved in a sense because he was as he has always been just a boy who loved Peter Pan. The weight of those last few weeks was lifted from our shoulders and we knew whatever we faced ahead he would be as he always was our baby boy.
The whole reason I became a travel agent was to give those experiences to other people. No matter where you are or what you need to enjoy your vacation to the fullest I want to help you get there.
Some of the people I have helped plan trips for needed step stools for a child with hypochondroplasia. Arranging sign language interpreters for shows for a deaf person and reflective captioning for my hard of hearing child. Arranging ECVs and wheelchairs for children and adults with mobility issues. My son used a medical stroller until he was 10 or 11 to have a quiet place to pull the cover down when he was overwhelmed by stimuli. I am a problem solver who can help find a ways for all to enjoy their vacations.
