SUGGESTED DURATION:2 Days
Disneyland is much different than Walt Disney World and that's a great thing! My plan will help you maximize your time and focus on what's unique to Disneyland!

DAY1
Disneyland
Close Day
Assemble to California Adventure
You'll enter into Grizzley Peak from the resort so head left when you enter the park and thru Buena Vista Street then hang a right towards Cars Land and Avengers Campus. I would head right to Radiator Springs Racers and feel free to stop and get a photo in Cars Land, you have time!
HIGHLIGHTS:
Your first Genie Plus should be Web Slingers or Guardian's of the Galaxy Mission Breakout.
Spend some time in Avengers Campus. There is great food and shows scheduled all thru the day.
I would grab lunch at Flo's V8 Café or Pym's Test Kitchen.
Lamplight Lounge is my favorite resort restaurant though so if you can get a reservation there!
Visit Cars Land and Avengers Campus at night. There are shows that only take place after 3pm

A day in Disneyland Park
The fireworks and projections can be seen from a few places. The projections go down Main Street and the castle but they are also on Small World and they do a display where Fantasmic is shown in New Orleans Square. So if you want a less crowded place to watch those last two may be it! You can still see the fireworks too. And the castle is so small and there are many trees around, it's not easy to see the castle and fireworks at the same time.
HIGHLIGHTS:
The parade starts by Small World, past the Matterhorn, in front of the castle then down Main Street
The second parade of the day just follows the reverse route.
Jolly Holiday is a must do! The grilled cheese and tomato soup and pastries are amazing!
I like watching the parade between the castle and the Matterhorn.
If you can arrive for early entry head right to Toontown and Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway.
