Molly Wisdom, CTC, President, has been in the travel industry for 25 years and has owned and operated this agency since 1989. Molly's expertise in today’s travel industry is based on her broad experience in the travel field and serves as a solid foundation in the daily operation of Travel Leaders.
Hugh "Flip" Himmelreich, CTA, Vice President, has over 40 years in the travel industry. As a co-owner of Travel Leaders in Spokane, Flip has responsibility for marketing, finance, operations, sales, and human resources. In addition he is Program Manager for the Government Division. Flip has served on the Board of Directors of the Society of Government Travel Professionals, the Executive Board as Treasurer of Discovery School, and on the Advisory Board of Daybreak Youth Services.
Marklyn Hallett, CTA, Manager / Travel Consultant, has 30 years of travel industry experience, and has been with Travel Leaders since 1984. She is a certified specialist for Hawaii, Alaska and Mexico travel. Her special interests lie in travel for the disabled. Marklyn has worked closely with the Wishing Star Foundation arranging travel for their wish families for nearly 20 years. Corporate, international, leisure and group travel planners have all benefited from Marklyn’s extensive knowledge of the ever-changing travel industry.
Jean Cook, Assistant Manager/Travel Consultant, has 25 years of travel industry experience and has been with Travel Leaders since 2001. She has extensive experience working with corporate, leisure, and international travelers allowing her to assist with all your travel needs. Jean is instrumental in coordinating staff training, keeping everyone abreast of constant changes in our industry.
Sylvia Merrill, Travel Consultant, Certified Cruise Specialist, has over 20 years in the travel industry, joining Travel Leaders in early 2000. Sylvia specializes in worldwide cruising and leisure travel.
Laurie Warren, CTC, Travel Consultant, has 20 years of travel industry experience and joined Travel Leaders in February 2002. Laurie has extensive corporate travel background in both domestic and international travel and is a welcome addition to our staff.
Julie McElroy, CTC, Travel Consultant, former owner of Air Sea Land Travel, has assisted clients with all their travel needs since 1983. Her strict attention to detail and firsthand knowledge of many destinations is beneficial to both the corporate and leisure clientele. Julie joined us in April 2002.
Donna White, Travel Consultant, joined Travel Leaders in January 2003. She is a certified specialist for Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Europe, Sandals, CLIA, Disney and Mexico and brings with her thirteen years expertise in corporate and leisure travel.
Gail Kretz, Travel Consultant, joined us in July 2004. Gail brings 39 years of expertise to the business and has herself traveled to 7 Continents. She enjoys corporate travel and specializes in leisure and cruise travel, both domestic and international.
Mary Beth Conklin, CTA, Travel Consultant, has been in the travel industry for 30 years, and has been with the company since 1989. Our clients rely on her vast experience in dealing with often-complicated business itineraries, and her expert knowledge of cruises and tours.
Judy Rowand, Travel Consultant, brings 38 years of experience in the travel industry to Travel Leaders with the merger her company, Red Carpet Travel & Cruises, in September of 2009. Travel has been an integral part of Judi's life since childhood. She believes that one of life's greatest enrichments is 'travel' - whether you do it for fun, business, necessity or emergency.
Michelle Henrich, Travel Consultant has been in the travel industry for 10 years and enjoys every aspect of the travel business. She is an experienced corporate and leisure agent and specializes in Family Travel, Ocean and River Cruises as well as Independent and Escorted Tours both domestic and International and Small Group Travel.
Mona Elton, Travel Consultant, A graduate of N.W Travel College in Dallas, TX, she has 15 years of travel industry experience. Mona joined Travel Leaders when Red Carpet Travel merged with them in September, 2009. Her consulting strengths lie in her ability to provide patient, fun, and personal service. She is sincerely passionate about providing a positive travel experience for each of her clients.
Group Department
Sheryl Drexel, Travel Consultant, former owner of Sheryl’s Travel and Tours, has been in the travel industry for 32 years. She merged her company with ours in March 2004. She has traveled to many destinations throughout the world and has extensive experience in leisure, corporate and group travel.
Rick Biel, CTA, Travel Consultant, has been with Travel Leaders for 12 years. Rick specializes in group and luxury travel and enjoys adventure and sport travel. Rick has traveled extensively, having visited over 60 countries in the last 10 years. His experience provides our agents and clients with up to the minute information on all major European and Asian destinations.
Account Management
Dave Vahala, CTE, Director of Sales & Marketing. A 29 year travel industry veteran previously employed with Continental Airlines in Seattle and Alaska Airlines, Anchorage, Spokane and San Francisco, Mutual Travel and Hotel Lusso in Spokane; Travel Manager for Itron Spokane and Starbucks Coffee Company in Seattle. Mr. Vahala’s responsibilities include business travel development, account management, public relations and is active in the Inland Northwest Business Travel Association, Greater Spokane, Inc., Spokane Valley and Coeur d’Alene, ID Chambers of Commerce, Executive Women International and the Spokane Regional Convention & Visitors Bureau. He earned the Corporate Travel Expert certification from National Business Travel Association in 2010.
