How do I change or cancel my online reservation?
Log into the site and navigate to the My Profile section of the Web site.  Look for the Travel Leaders location listed in the My Travel Expert section of the web page.  This is your travel expert to contact for itinerary changes, cancellations, questions, travel planning or advice.

Note: Due to possible transaction fees, changes and cancellations must be made with your travel expert.

How can I view or change my profile?
Log into the site and click on the "Edit My Profile" link, and your current profile data will display for review or editing purposes.  After all updates have been made, click the  button.

How do I confirm the travel arrangements I just purchased online?
Once you have completed your booking online, a confirmation will be displayed on your computer monitor and sent to the e-mail address provided during the booking process. The confirmation email will include, a reservation number, an itinerary listing the items purchased, and the contact information of your selected travel expert, should you have questions regarding your reservation.

What fees are charged for changing my travel plans? (Online purchases only)
All changes/cancellations are subject to imposed fees by the airlines, hotel/ resort properties, cruise lines or car rental agencies. Remember to read all terms and conditions of your reservation to see if cancellation or change fees apply.

Flight Change/Cancellation Fees
For online purchases, change/cancellation fees consist of $35 per passenger, in addition to any fees and differences in fare based on the airlines' policy. Certain airfares may be nonrefundable. Airlines typically allow changes to flight times, dates, or destination. However, name changes on tickets are strictly prohibited.

Hotel Change/Cancellation Fees
For online purchases, change/cancellation fees consist of $35 per reservation, in addition to any fees or differences in rate based on the lodging property's policy.

Cruise Change/Cancellation Fees
For online purchases, change/cancellation fees are based on cruise lines' policy.  Average* cruise line change fee table:

61+ days prior to departure = $0 + difference in fare
60-30 days = $200 per person + difference in fare
29-8 days = 50% of booked fare + difference in fare
Less than 8 days = full fare + difference in fare

Car Rental Change/Cancellation Fees
For online purchases, change/cancellation fees consist of $35 per reservation, in addition to any fees or differences in the rate based on the rental agency's policy.

NOTE:  Unused or partially fulfilled car rental reservations as part of prepaid packages, are not illegible for refunds. Due to possible transaction fees, all changes and cancellations must be made with your travel expert.

How do I find the lowest vacation price?
Many people think that they'll only find the best flights or vacation packages on their own.  Not true!  At a Travel Leaders agency, we have special access to more packages, more low prices and flights you may not find elsewhere, such as charter flights.  In addition, we offer traveler support before, during and after your trips.  With us, you can plan and book your vacation at this Web site or you can pick up the phone or come in and see us.  However you want to book your vacation, we are available to you.

Here are some tips to follow when searching for your vacation:

  • Plan your vacation as far in advance as possible.  Look for early booking discounts.
  • Compare midweek (Sunday - Wednesday) and weekend (Thursday - Saturday) departure prices.
  • Price morning departures and late departures.
  • Price a vacation with and without a weekend stay over.
  • If you are flexible, take your vacation during non-peak times.

Should I purchase travel insurance?
Travel Leaders highly recommends purchasing travel insurance, as it protects your travel investment, health, belongings and vacation memories before and during your vacation. Most travel insurance plans cover trip cancellation, interruption or delays, medical, dental, emergency medical transportation, lost luggage, missed connection, itinerary change, accidental death, and financial default of airlines, cruise lines and tour operators.

Most Travel Leaders locations have access to at least one of the following providers: Access America, Travel Guard, and individual cruise lines protective coverage. Contact your Travel Leaders expert for information regarding the purchase of any travel protection plans to ensure the proper plan for your personal needs.

Is it safe to purchase a vacation via the Internet?
Yes. Travel Leaders values and protects your personal information, by following strict security measures set forth by TRUSTe®.  Each transaction is protected by Secured Socket Layers (SSLs), and other comparable technology, that encrypts personal information like, your credit card numbers, and your name and address before transmitting them via the Internet.

How do I subscribe to Postcards Magazine?
Navigate to the Postcards Magazine Subscription area of the site, complete the requested information and

I forgot my password. What do I do?
Click on the Sign In link found in the upper right-hand corner of the web page header, and click on the "Forgot Your Username or Password?" link. To obtain your username, enter your email address and click the Send button.  To obtain your password, enter your email address and username, and click the Send button. 

What are the services fees for online bookings?
Travel Leaders will assess a $5 service fee for all online air, car, and hotel booking transactions.
No service fees are assessed for cruise booking transactions made online.

Will my pop-up blocker affect how I use this web site?
Many computer systems utilize "pop-up blockers" to prevent or limit online advertisements that sometimes appear when you use the Internet. This web site uses pop-ups as a means to provide additional information, which you may find helpful in making informed travel decisions. We recommend you temporarily disable the blocker while utilizing this web site.

What methods of payment do you accept?
Acceptable forms of payment include: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and Diners Club. Gift certificates are not redeemable for online purchases.

How early should I arrive to the airport?
You should arrive at the airport a minimum of 1½ hours prior to departure.  We strongly recommend reconfirming your flight time 24 hours prior to departure, for both origin and destination flights.
